This is a framed 4" X 6" print of a painting of a Grumman F4F "Wildcat". The painting is detailed and accurately portrays this important WWII warbird. The Wildcat, although generally outperformed by the Japanese Zero, could hold its own with an experienced pilot and its heavy armor and self-sealing fuel tanks. It also had a homing device that allowed the pilot to find his carrier in bad weather within 30 miles. The wooden military gray colored frame measures 6.5" X 8.5" and has a routered piece for hanging. A mounting screw and a dowel for displaying the frame on a shelf or desk is included. Proudly made in the USA by a Vietnam veteran owned company!
