This is a 4" X 6" print of a painting of a Douglas F3D "Skyknight". The painting is detailed and accurately portrays this important US military aircraft. The F3D Skyknight, later designated F-10, was a twin-engine, mid-wing, jet fighter. The F3D was flown by the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps and used primarily to destroy enemy aircraft at night. The Skyknight was an important aircraft during the Korean War escorting B-29's on night missions. The wooden military gray colored frame measures 6.5" X 8.5" and has a routered piece for hanging. A mounting screw and a dowel for displaying the frame on a shelf or desk is included. Proudly made in the U.S. by a veteran owned company.
